Ènìyàn

Eniyan is one of the projects that the team has been working on for a while; this story was inspired by a famous FF video game series and contains a lot of classic RPG elements. To be honest we cannot say how far or how many chapters this project is going to have, but, I am confident that the story line which is African in nature will captivate you as a reading audience, so, please enjoy.

Synopsis.

The name Eniyan is a name shrouded in mysteries and confusion, the name simply means "person " in other words it is the name of a nobody a vagabond cursed to walk upon the surface of the Earth. Eniyan is a person with no history, with no end and no beginning, it has though he just fell down from the sky.

ENIYAN

Introduction

Eniyan is an African fantasy story inspired by themes of identity, survival, spirituality, the quest for immortality, war, politics and transformation. Set in a world where the country known as Nigeria is transformed into an entire world and each geo-political region is transformed into a continent and each state is an independent country, the story follows warriors, outcasts, and gifted individuals struggling to survive in an era of uncertainty.

The word “Eniyan” (Person), symbolizes humanity itself — the strength, weakness, ambition, and spiritual complexity of human beings. The main character gave himself that name because without it the possibility of his survival would be 0%, At the center of the story lies a growing conflict between nature and the people attempting to shape their own destiny.

The World of Eniyan

The world of Eniyan is filled with sacred forests, ancient ruins, hidden temples, warriors, and relics connected to forgotten civilisations. There is also the theme of modern technology, dimensional rifts, legacy of the gods and extreme scientific values.

Different tribes and kingdoms possess unique traditions and beliefs. Some communities worship spiritual guardians while others rely on ancient warrior traditions passed down through generations.

Main Character

The protagonist begins as an ordinary individual struggling to survive in a dangerous world filled with conflict and uncertainty. However, hidden truths surrounding his origins slowly begin to surface. He is sentenced to banishment on a certain island inhabited by dangerous beasts, for a crime he didn’t commit. His possibility of survival was very low especially for one so young, but the prison island taught him the most important lesson he had ever learnt, “You must be ruthless to survive!”

His first goal was to survive his imprisonment, then he was on a quest for vengeance; first he would slaughter all those who had brought an end to his family, then he would go on a quest to find any of his other surviving relatives. The problem was that fate had different plans for him, his life experience was not forced on him for the foolish act of vengeance. The gods wanted him to achieve something greater, that was why they had taken his name from him, his goal was to save the world from an impending threat. He is now forced to choose, to save the world he dearly loves, or to claim the vengeance that he sorely desires.

Thus, Eniyan’s journey begins.

Supporting Character.

Jaguna: This character was fated to meet the protagonist in chapter 1, he is one of the reasons why Eniyan survived the prison island. Their first meeting was on the island, and it was from him that the main character learnt a lot about surviving in the wild. Jaguna, like Eniyan was exiled to the island of Kirikiri for crimes he knew nothing about, the only difference was that he had been on the island longer than Eniyan. He chose the name Jaguna because he taught it would make him look cool, he was a man of many words and the reason why Eniyan did not loose his mind on the island. He was Eniyan’s partner in arms and after they escape the island, he joined Eniyan on all his missions, until eventually his back story was revealed.
